The best young actor of his generation

Agreed. He's my favorite young actor besides Anton Yelchin. The two of them display tender emotion so naturally.

He's very good, but I'm not sure he's number one. Freddie Highmore, Thomas Sangster, Liam Aiken, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Asa Butterfield, Dakota Goyo, Max Records and a few others are in the same league as Lerman when it comes to acting skills.

Not to forget the female actresses :)

But when it comes to exposure and media coverage, Lerman has the upper hand among the males. It's not the same thing as actual talent, though. Not every great actor has the same luck.

I agree, he's one of the best actor of his generation.
I don't really know if he is THE BEST ONE, but surely one of them.
And better of Pattinson and company for sure -_-

After seeing Fury I'm in total agreement with the original post. This kid can act.

And on top of that he seems to be managing his career well with good film choices, and keeping his personal life relatively personal instead of making a spectacle of himself that some young stars are wont to do.

I hope he keeps on this path, and that others follow.
