Besides Star Trek, he made his Mark in several other franchises including Buck Rogers and Planet of the Apes.

Heard he also did Westerns but I never had opportunity to see him in those.

A fine actor in mainstream stories, too. He brought a dark, sometimes dangerous intensity to his roles, while also being subtle & three-dimensional about it.

Loved him as Urko in Planet of the Apes TV series
