I remember when Ellen Pompeo was on maternity leave in real life and they had her character recover from a lover donation. Then when the actor who plays Arizona was on maternity leave, the character when to Malawi. I don't remember Chyler Leigh being pregnant -- how did they cover that up on the show?

I remember CL being pregnant during the show, I think they just used clever angles when shooting her scenes but I remember that you could see that she was pregnant in a few shots. They never had a specially written storyline to cover her pregnancy.

They wrote in some weight gain during her pregnancy - once, when in a black dress at this gathering, she and Alex were talking and she complained about not fitting into her dress. Then, there was the episode they had her stuffing her face because of the stress between McDreamy and McSteamy. And I think the episode where she put on the diaper for the operation was during her pregnancy, to hide her larger behind.

shareShe was only pregnant during the last half of Season 5, she had her baby during the hiatus and when Season 6 resumed, her baby was 6 weeks. She was never pregnant after that.
