Marvel comic book creator Stan Lee has hit his former business manager with a massive lawsuit alleging fraud, conversion, financial abuse of an elder, and misappropriation of his name and likeness. According to the suit, a former business associate of Lee’s daughter tricked Lee into giving him power of attorney, after which he exploited the position for financial gain.

According to the suit, which seeks restitution and an accounting of his funds, Lee has suffered an increased amount of mental impairment over the years as a result of his age. While financial abuse against an elder is a difficult claim to prove, it is not an impossible one. And with the defendant’s of financial liens filed against him, it appears as though Lee has a strong case.
