Good Actor

Ever since I saw him in Disney films and television when I was a little kid, in the late 1950s and early 1960s, I have been a fan of this charismatic, very likable actor. I know he had some problems that led to the fade-out of his movie career when he was a young man, but that doesn't change my appreciation of his talent and screen personality. I'm glad to hear that he went on to be successful in business. I hope he's healthy and happy, wherever he is and whatever he's doing today. It would be nice to see him in a good film or television role again.

Disney didn’t fire Kirk because he was gay. He was fired after having “relations” with an underage boy he met at the Pickwick recreation center near the Disney Stidios in Burbank.

I only saw him in Old Yeller and The Shaggy Dog. I believe he has a carpet business in his homestate. In his 20's, Disney discovered he was gay and fired him. I think he stayed friends with Annette until her demise.
