Don't know yet. I literally only learned of this band's existence a few weeks ago. They kept getting played on this SiriusXM channel I was checking out. I haven't heard a song I haven't loved yet. This is what I always wished the Beatles sounded like.

reply

I wish I could get into them for the first time again.

I've heard their radio hits a billion times, but I was never like, "F yeah, The Kinks". And neither were the DJs. And they're never talked about in those documentary specials about the British Invasion. It's like they've always been there, but were also ignored. It's wild. If it wasn't for the digital readout on the radio, I still wouldn't know who they were. But after like the 12th time I was loving a song and saw the Kinks on the display, I was like, Damn, pretty sure i'm a big Kinks fan. I'm from the States, obviously. Not British. They just wern't a big deal over here.

reply

Yeah, they've always been underappreciated. I remember when I was in college somebody make fun of me for being a fan of theirs and called them a one hit wonder. Clearly he didn't know much about them.

where have all the good times gone

reply

It's funny how "Living on a Thin Line" was completely forgotten about until it appeared on The Sopranos. I've always liked it and "Do It Again" from the Word of Mouth album, which was their last album that received any airplay in the USA.

reply

I like "Do It Again", but I don't know what "Living on a Thin Line" is.
