Bitcoin Position

I imagine corporate media is doing it's best to ignore this fellow but if you're curious about his thoughts on Bitcoin and promises he makes about his dealings with it when president, here is:

If anyone with some deep insight on Bitcoin can offer up their take on what he said, I'd be interested to hear it.

The bit by one of the commentators about MAID made me chuckle. If you don't know what it is, Google it.

Not one person uses Bitcoin and has an opinion?

And I thought I was a Luddite.

That's a 25 minute video, so I didn't take the time to watch the whole thing, but the first few minutes is spot on.

With a cashless society, governments will have far too much power and control. Bitcoin is decentralized and censorship resistant, but not censorship proof. There are other options, such as Monero, but Bitcoin is the granddaddy of all cryptocurrencies.

The biggest hurdle is the onramps. We still live in a fiat denominated society. I get paid in dollars. Those dollars need to be converted to crypto, so the government still has control in the end.

Society as a whole would need to migrate to the decentralized options and getting paid in a non-traceable cash equivalent is the only way.

This gets much more detailed, layered, and nuanced than can be written in a forum post.
