Wants to be Christopher Nolan

Did he think The Last Jedi was going to make him the next “Christopher Nolan”? All the behind the scenes excitement for the film and his enthusiasm with the end result would all make sense if it were an actually great movie and not a movie we are told is supposed to be great.

Nolan is a god among men and the modern kubrick.

The Matrix can be viewed as a superhero movie. Don't you think Kubrick would have made a movie like The Matrix if he was given the opportunity? I think he would certainly have.

I could definitely see Kubrick doing a Matrix-type movie minus the action elements.
