Also her being a hot Canadian chick is keeping her from getting quality work. Occasionally an Ellen Page breaks thru, but Canada is a breeding ground for hot chicks who can pass for Americans.

...What are you implying? That she's too attractive to achieve mainstream success? That's absolutely ridiculous. She's a beautiful woman, but that's not holding her back in any way.
I think she just doesn't want that kind of fame. Being in the public spotlight 24/7 has to be exhausting.
Aside from that, it's REALLY easy for a Canadian to pass as an American, and vice versa. The two countries aren't that different from a cultural standpoint, it's politics that divides them.

But she's a hot Canadian actress, which is how she gets work. A Canadian production requires Canadian talent, so she's flush with work. Americans see her, but we dont entirely know who she is. It's a case of right place, right time for these Canadian starlets.
