All he can manage in the last TWO years is "Takers" and a pilot that wasn't picked up.
I think the fact he was even willing to be in a CW show shows that roles are drying up for him, his next 2 movies don't fill me with confidence either.

I love him, he is such a great actor! He is the main reason I am seeing Takers on friday. I wish he could get more roles, but until he does I'll just keep watching Takers!

I think it's bigger than just him. It doesn't seem like the industry is allowing for ethnic roles period
shareIt's a shame that Hollywood is barely recognizing promising actors simple because of their ethnicities. Jay has the charisma and the looks to be a Hollywood heartthrob. Not to mention he isn't a bad actor. Yet white actors who aren't even half as talented, charismatic and sure as hell not as good looking, are given multiple chances to prove themselves. I don't know about you guys, but I would rather see Jay as a leading man than Jake Gyllenhaal or Ryan Reynolds; to me they are personification of blandness.
What a shame.
