So bad acting as Cersei on Game of Thrones

She looks like Cersei, but her performance is not powerful, it always seems like she is going to break into a smirk, her face expressions are always the same no matter the emotion.

Honestly she is among the worst actresses on Game of Thrones. She's improved in last season, I give her that, but still doesn't live up to the standards of the main cast. I find her and Emilia Clarke to be the weak links of the show.

Edit: I am talking about the main cast, yes Shae and other recurrent characters like the Dothorakis are very weak actors too.

Edit 2: It's been 2 and half years since I wrote this post and I stand by it, I just finished watching the 1st episode of season 6 and Lena's performance was so weak, again she couldn't show believable emotions over the death of her daughter; just very average actress.

Thats your opinion, fair enough. personally i think she is one of the best actress's on the show. I forget i'm watching Lena Headly and think its actually Cersi Lannister.

I give her props too, her name is Cersie Lannister the hated queen reagent. She definitely has impressed me.

I never used to like Lena Headey, but now I think she is fantastic and has really grown into her role. Maybe I like her much more from listening to her commentaries on the DVDs, and seeing her winning and clever personality on talk shows, her sense of humour, etc. makes me appreciate her all the more.

Emilia Clarke on the other hand I thought was absolutely terrific in season one, especially for someone in their first TV role. Now I just can't stand her as Dany..but that's because they have made Dany insufferable and her storyline dreadful. She was at her best with Drogo.

You took the words out of my mouth. I thought she was ok before Game of Thrones, but I think I only ever saw her in Gossip. Remember that awful film?

Anyway, she has won me over. And her interviews are just the cherry on top. The total opposite of Cersei!

It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

You can't get an Oscar award for a TV show. Oscars are for movies exclusively.
What you mean are Emmy nominations.
Certainly a huge honor, but still a different kind of award entirely...
