Rather Annoying

I have to agree, but more in the first couple of episodes. At first I wasn't that impressed with the show, having been so impressed with LOM, and I did find her extremely irritating.... Its something about her voice that can grate on the nerves a little. But she's getting better, as is the series IMO.

She was annoying to start with and just got worse as the series went on, can't believe the people who came up with "Life on Mars" could get this so wrong.

Imitate Knightley?? Lol i think not - she's been around a lot longer than that kid and has done far more worthy and notable work.
However, i do agree she was woefully miscast in Ashes. I hate to say it, especially as i was a huge fan once, but she was dreadful. Of course my judgement may be somewhat tainted as i hated the series.
