Harrison produced the film as well as contributing to the soundtrack, through his company Handmade Films. He was responsible for a lot of the best British films on the 1980s and 1990s, including personal faves like "Withnail and I" and "Nuns on the Run".
Harrison doesn't get enough credit for being a major film producer, to the point of being credited with "saving the British film industry". I guess his musical accomplishments have overshadowed his second career.
He produced "The Life of Brian" as well.

The Pythons ran out of money during filming, Harrison stepped in and gave them enough money to complete what turned out to be an absolutely brilliant film, and Harrison had a second career and the Pythons became his friends and work colleagues.
Yeah, George really had a pretty amazing life, it's such a pity about the smoking.
