Is that all him?
What I mean is...is the second chin prosthetic because I'd hate to gain so much weight my second chin took over. Yikes.
That said, it truly is an amazing transformation (natural or prosthetic), he doesn't even look a bit like Gary Oldman.

This man, this actor, this role.

If it's not an Oscar, there's no right in the world.

Gary Oldman is a veteran of this kind of transformation though it has been a while since he has gone there. It is the sitting in the makeup chair that is tough.

Oldman as various forms of Dracula, Mason Verger in Hannibal, Zorg in 5th Element, Drixel Spivey in True Romance.

Hardy and Oldman can make themselves look thinner or larger just by the way the move and more simpler tricks of the trade.

Brian Cox is also making a movie about Churchill. He will need less assistance.

Seems to be a lot of World War II storylines in movies coming out and going into production right now.

I'm pretty sure that it is not ''his'' chin:

With so much talent in the prosthetic/make up department, there is the prospect that actors won't need to add/lose weight in order to be credible.

Well it's very realistic-looking.

The details (chin, mole mars) are incredible.

Mr Hardy appears to have had a hair cut recently, some fans got a photo with him on the weekend. I thought oh, is the Capone movie going to start shooting soon...but I didn't think the Capone movie was next in the line up. Could be for one of the other two movies confirmed recently or he just felt like cutting it like that. It had just grown back in from Dunkirk.

I always cringe when people make comments on the hairstyle of an actor as if they have a choice a lot of the time - they don't quite own their hair not if you want to avoid wigs wherever possible or those bald caps to fake baldness.
