Tom Hardy is as versatile an actor as you can find these days, and his latest effort is FX's dark and twisted drama Taboo, his first big U.S. TV effort since HBO's Band of Brothers. It's also one of his weirdest projects yet, but it's apparently not weird enough to turn away audiences, as Taboo's series premiere not only ranked highly among all cable premieres in the 2016-2017 season, with over 3.4 million viewers, but it's also earned the biggest delayed viewing boost of any series premiere in FX history.

Taboo, the eight-part TV drama series currently playing on BBC One in the UK and FX in the US, has sold to multiple international territories.

The deals include: HBO for Spain, Nordic territories and Eastern Europe; AMC for Portugal; TV1000/Viasat for Russia and CIS region; Cosmote in Greece; Digiturk in Turkey; and Fox Network Group Latin America for the Americas and the Caribbean.

For the UK, The first episode was 7 million including DVR views and episode repeats. Actual views on the night of the premiere was 4.3 million I think or thereabouts which is good for Saturday at 10:00 pm.
