Pretty good in Batman.
The show was pure camp, but he played it straight.
shareThe word was he was the least clued in to what the objectives were with the show. I don't think he saw the comic edge which was intended. Perhaps understandable if we look at the shooting schedule of a 1960's show and if an actor never watched the show that they appeared on which did happen a fair amount. Hamilton most likely was on the lot when his scenes were being filmed and not any other time. It typically took 5 days or a little more to produce one (hour) episode. That is a lot of material to overlook in terms of knowing what a show is about.
shareI noticed his acting changed after the first season. He played it a little more comedically but not going too far where there was a massive hindrance to the character from the first season. I guess he saw a few episodes during the time off after that first season.
