Seems completely wrong, he was note perfect playing David Fisher, his nuances, complexity, emotional spectrum and the arc of his character. He deserved an Emmy or a Golden Globe for David.

He prefers Broadway, so he doesn't have to be in character for so long, I could tell that was one of the issues with him when people would ask if he ever were to return as dexter. It must take a toll on him.
