I actually came here to see what else Anna has done because she's so good. Having lived this life, I took a few years before engaging the BB series, not wanting to stir up old demons. Skyler is a brilliant character played by a beautiful human. Anybody would be lucky to have a woman half as strong, drug life or not.

shareIt's only those who do not understand what it involves to make a TV show or a film.
Even if the director, producer etc are lucky to a budget of no limits cannot buy the best cast to create their vision come to life.
Most times it is the actor available with the best skills that is casted for the part.
Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Anna Gunn fits the bill and executes her part at an amazing rate as the show explodes in popularity.
Of course, this includes Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
I'm pointing out Ms. Gunn since there are one or two individuals who need assistance understanding such complex matters.
Another direction to fully grasp the transformation of acting greatness is to look at their past history.
With that comparison and the pressure of a dedicated and demanding audience is the true gauge of such excellence.
Vince Gilligan is the master of a selected few who not only kept us to be faithful but satisfied. All the way to the series ending episode which should be the barometer to other directors wishing to end a successful show.
My opinion.
Most of the people who hate her don't seem to realize you were supposed to dislike Skylar in the first couple of seasons, and their hate is just a testament to how effectively she played the character.

She is either a brilliant actress or she is really like her character - I tend to think she is brilliant but damn I cannot stand Skylar - even the name wants to make me gag. Most men have had mothers, an older sister or wife that is so bossy and passive aggressive and think they know it all. Cancer is just part of Walter's problems.
