I read interview with him online and it said in the interview there was talk of him playing Al Capone in something.

He will be portraying Al Capone in the HBO Original Series named "Boardwalk Empire" based on the book of the same name. This series is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Mark Wahlberg. It also stars Steve Buscemi and Michael Shannon so it should be quite great. I am looking forward to its release on HBO.

After watching the first episode, he is really, really great in the role. Great to see him directed by Scorsese again. Funny, their last movie together was gangs of new york, Capone was actually a member of a five points gang in his youth (Brooklyn Rippers). Looking forward to seeing more

I saw him playing Capone last night. It really is brilliant casting, not only is he a great actor but he looks a lot more like Capone than other men who've played Capone in the past (I love Deniro but seriously, too tall!)

I know a movie about Capone is comming out sooner or later, but they should do a show on Al Capone on HBO. Oh boy, this guy is perfect for the part! Excellent actor, and he does the bad guy with a funny side perfectly.

How is De Niro too tall to play Capone when Capone was taller than De Niro?

No doubt, the real Al Capone was 5 foot 10 1/2 inches. Stephen is 5 foot 5 1/2 inches. As much as I think this guy is an awesome actor he is actually quite abit too short for truly capturing how impossing the real Al Capone was given his size and stature in a time when 5 foot 10 was way above the average height. Stephen is actually quite abit too short to really capture the real impression Al Capone would have given back in his day to teh people who had to deal with him. Al Capone was a big dude.
