I just recently saw the Answer Man, and I saw Evan Almighty a few years ago, and in both of these movies she seems to be playing the same exact character. She really acts just like Lorelai. Maybe that's just her acting style or maybe I've seen each episode of Gilmore Girls way too many times, but I kept waiting for her to pick up her phone and call Rory or walk into Luke's.

i think lauren is just really similar to lorelai. whenever ive watched an interview with her, i always thought that the two were really similar in that crazy, talk fast kinda way...

that's funny. i think of it the opposite. lorelai will always be lauren graham. everything lauren is in, she steals the screen. it was just that we got to know her so well as lorelai, we think of her as lorelai, but really lorelai is just a character that lauren brought to life.

shareBut she's never given great roles to work with..I mean in all her movies since Gilmore Girls she pretty much plays the wife/mother and in supportive roles that doesn't really allow her to shine. Talk about being stereotyped...

shareI've never seen Gilmore Girls and never will but she was great and hot in Bad Santa and that's how I want to remember her. Looking at her on Parenthood makes me kinda sad.
