Anyone else think Mysterious Skin is his best movie?

I think it is. In fact I would probably put this movie in my top 20 movies of all time, literally.

But the movie does not get that kind of recognition, nor is it considered to be a great film by most, which I think it is. What do you think?

It's tough for me to say definitively that it's his best film. I think it's his best performance, for sure, but I do think the film itself has its shortcomings, even though it's definitely very good.
