Did she gain weight to do Mona Lisa Smile?

Mona Lisa Smile is the only thing I've seen her in and she was pretty chubby. Every photo I see of her is very thin. Did she gain weight for the role?

I wondered that too. It seemed like I may have seen her act in previous things, and she seemed a bit chubby there too. I think she just lost weight afterwards.
Good for her! Its quite tough to lose weight.

I don't remember seeing her in anything else besides Mona Lisa Smile. I've just seen photos of her and in all of them I've seen, she is really thin. I thought she did a great job in MLS with the material she was given and would like to see more of her.

When she started her career, she had a little more weight on her body. From what I've read, she lost weight over the years to get more/better roles, and now she's on a strict diet to keep her figure.
