Sherilyn Fenn

Ginnifer looks so much like Sherilyn Fenn it's scary.

She was such a dead ringer for Fenn in Mona Lisa Smile. First time I saw it I was like "OMG AUDREY HORNE, IS THAT YOU?!?!"

She's Sherilyn Fenn sans birthmark and everything else that that symbol of sexual branding represents: A seemingly innocent version of a familiar facial cast, albeit with an unjaded sensitivity Fenn never got to act.

The two look similar, but one has tended to represent innocence while the other played tainted to perfection. You wonder how differently audiences might see these actresses if each been given the other's typecast role.

I tend to find Goodwin's role less confining than Fenn's, but only because women's parts in fantasy genres have become slightly less one-dimensional over time.

And of course Once upon a Time plays upon Goodwin's character's ostensible innocence by making her an erstwhile bandit queen and revealing successive ironies about her relationship to the show's least snowy royalty.

Which brings us back to the banality of black and white. As clichéd as this reverse cliché might be, I'd still love to see Snow White played by a person of color and the Evil Queen portrayed as a blonde Southern belle.

I don't see it. She's a cross between Kristen Dunst and Anna Paquin.

Look at the night sky, where does it end?
