Why do I get the feeling she's just like her characters. Does she always have to play the ugly girl on the outside looking in on guys she wants but who are with someone else? There's a reason they're with other girls..those girls are hotter than her. And short boy haircut...guess she's going for the Hillary Swank look? It's working..she's not pretty either.

Agreed. I'm watching Once Upon A Time and I've seen her in Walk The Line, I don't find her pretty at all. She's very bland, a poor actress, and not attractive. There is absolutely nothing remarkable about her.
Isn't Snow White supposed to be a pretty princess, graceful and beautiful? She was a terrible choice, not being any of the above.

Really! I think she's super pretty. She does look a 100,000 x's better with longer hair. I think saying she's unnatractive and not pretty are a stretch.

However, there is a far greater emphasis on the looks of actors and actresses, and a LOT of "stars" only get screen time because they are rather good looking. That said, there are also plenty of ugly people who are terrible actors. My point is, that (generalising) younger females in TV/film are often vilified for their looks, since it is that which brings people to watch rather than their limited acting capabilities. In most cases, it isn't until they are quite a bit older that they can get away with raw talent rather than looks.
Either way, Ginnifer is cute in an odd pixie sort of way, but there are far prettier actresses out there. She also looks a lot younger than she is (she's 34 but looks about 20 - at least with short hair).
With long hair she made Kate Hudson look like chopped liver. I've only seen her in short hair on this IMDb page and have to say it doesn't do her beauty justice.
