Self/Less

So, the marketing push for the movie launched today with a fun campaign. Various media entities where sent this package and inside was a Smartphone along with a letter from Albright - Matthew Goode's character. He gives them instructions and will provide them additional updates, texts, etc in the future.

Can you imagine? They'll probably get a call with his delightful voice or vids! I think he's going to be a bad guy in this one.

Here's more info about the campaign:

It has a video teaser which looks like the backside of MG. This director is known for his fantastic visual work..lucky us!

MG is getting first billing in some of the press which is a good indicator of how is star is rising!

Brilliant - let's hope it's a goode one. Pressure only has limited release.

Just a bit worrying that Matthew hasn't mentioned this film once - usually a bad sign!

Funny that you say that because I saw an interview with Ryan Reynolds and the interviewer, who was crazy about the director for Self/Less, asked him about the movie and he couldn't come up with two words to say about it either.

Maybe the delays in the premiere of it dampened their enthusiasm. When it does premiere here in July it's up against some high profile films. Still, Americans love to go to movies in the summer so maybe it will do ok.

The timing of this launch is good for MG. He's having another spectacular PR week. His social sentiment scores have been going up and up.

We shall see. It will be worth watching for Matthew's accent alone. He deserves spectacular PR.

Matthew gets very nice review here. Dr Evil and dreamy boy next door combination can never be wrong when it is Goode.

And perhaps best of all, we get to see Matthew Goode put his sinister hat on as the doctor who heads up this Trading Places-style procedure. Goode is phenomenal at switching back and forth between dreamy boy next door and dripping evil power monger, and for our money, he’s more fun as the dark mastermind.

Oh wow - that's an excellent review for him. Let's hope the film is a goode one. The Dark Mastermind - ha ha!

Like the quote about the film here:

With a cast that includes English acting royalty, Deadpool and Downton Abbey cast members Michelle Dockery and Matthew Goode, Self/less is a promising new addition to the sci-fi genre, creating a new take on an established concept of exceeding our limits of consciousness.

Michelle and Matthew definitely make a great acting power couple.

More praise for MG from a Self/Less co-star:

PC: Tell me about SELF/LESS, directed by the visionary Tarsem Singh.

VG: Yes. We filmed that quite a long time ago. I've heard that it's turned out really, really well - even better than they anticipated. So, now, they are saving the release for later in the year, I believe - to be honest, I have no idea how they actually do these things. But, it was really fascinating to work on it and Sir Ben Kingsley was a part of it so I had the honor of working with him, which was a joy. And, of course, Ryan Reynolds is great and Matthew Goode is fantastic - I unfortunately didn't get to work with Matthew, but we did have dinner. It was a great experience, actually, and I am very curious to see the finished film - very curious, actually.
