By that I mean he will be tied with Francis Ford Coppola(Has Won 5 Oscars total) in terms of Oscar wins, and will have passed Robert Wise(Won 4 Oscars in his life time). And if Emmanuel Lubezki wins his this year, he will have become the first cinematographer to win three Oscars in a row.
shareIt would be absolutely ridicoulous that a director like him has the chance to have FIVE(!) Oscars, when he has achieved so little. Yes I know Birdman and The Revenant are both great films but that's not enough to deserve 5 freaking Oscars. Even three Oscars is already too much considering how many great films other directors have made with waay fever Oscars or even none at all. He's a great director but not THAT great(yet, time will tell)
