After finally seeing The Revenant I think he'd be perfect to direct The Last of Us film (based on the popular videogame from Naughty Dog). The adaptation needs this man directing.

The Last of Us was too well done in the video game to where it doesn't need a movie. Same thing with Heavy Rain. The cinematic gameplay of those games were amazing that transferring it to film would hurt the story.
On the other hand, I really want an Uncharted movie. Though that'll be difficult today since there have been many treasure hunter films, as well as how the character of Nathan Drake is very similar to Chris Pratts Starlord.
Indeed. The Last of Us movie is happening either way though, and it's also being written by the same person who wrote and directed the videogame which is a good start, so I think getting González to direct this would be a great choice.

Gustavo Santaolalla already did the soundtrack so it would fit with Gonzalez Inarritu.
