Next Kubrick?

I feel like he could be the next Kubrick. Well If he keeps working with Emmanuel Lubezki that is, those two make an amazing team, and without Chivo he wouldn't be the same.

Why is it every time a good to decent director comes along you guys must all say

"this guy could be the next Kubrck!"

how about maybe he just ends up doing his own thing and Kubrick was his own thing? ever think of that?

no one is ever going to be Kubrick. Spielberg is Spielberg, Scorsese is Scorsese, Nolan is Nolan, Fincher is Fincher,etc.

If i had $1 everytime i had no clue what was going on, id ask people why they were giving me dollars

He's nothing like Kubrick and doesn't have a chance of becoming like Kubrick.

Not sure but what I think the OP means is he could be the next really big phenomenon, not literally Kubrick reincarnated which I assume is what you, Sir, mean.
