Something I've noticed

Is that throughout his career, he makes undeniably masterful movies. But for some reason (and I haven't seen mine yet), there is always one movie from him that a person doesn't like while they like all the others. For example, my friend has seen several Iñàrritu movies, and loves them all, except for The Revenant. In fact, he kinda hates it lol. And my mom loves Amorres Perros and Biutiful, but hated Birdman.

I've only seen three Iñàrritu films (Babel, Birdman, Revenant), and loved them all. I don't know if I'll ever watch one of his films and think it's a piece of *beep* but I hope I don't because I love Alejandro and he is such and inspiration to me.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Actually yes, I have noticed this. For me, I have seen all his films and I love them all (well, okay, I didn't love Birdman, but I did respect it)...except Babel (which I loathe).

But the same could be said of most great directors. There's always one film that rubs a fan the wrong way for whatever reason.
