Is he okay? He dropped out of his play in London....

...due to ill health?

I toddled over to the Old Vic tonight just for the purpose of seeing Iain Glen in "Nobody's Fool."

The adverts for it had his picture and I read the review, but guess I was living under a rock not to know that he'd dropped out of the production back in early January due to ill health.

Came home and looked it up to find a small blurb in the papers back on January 9 saying his doctor had suggested leaving the play for ill health reasons.

It wasn't just the flue with a couple of nights off. He left for the duration (the play closes in a couple of days).

The understudy was brilliant. But I'd be lying to say I wasn't gutted to miss seeing the great Iain himself.

But am more worried about him now. He never came back to the play after leaving the first week of January.

Iain is fine.
It is true that due to his busy schedule he became excused during the play, under the advice from his doctor he had to leave the play.
Speaking from their home Iain's wife Charlotte said that he is fine, he is excused from constant work but that he is resting and will make a full recovery at home.

Iain works almost non stop, television, films and theater.
He just spread himself to thin.
I hope that helps and not to worry, he is fine.
I adore him myself and find all my Iain news on tumblr.

He was at the Games of Thrones U.K premiere last week and said he was fine. Also didn't say what his illness which is a bit odd but maybe he doesn't want it to damage his 'bankability'.
