Woody TIE 88

Seeing Joe in 'This is England 88', has once again, confirmed my views on his fantastic acting ability. The scene where he meets the gang outside the cafe had me in tears. So believable, so raw. He has a face where on the outside people think he's ok, but you could tell in his eyes all the hurt he has been through.

Actually, the acting from all the cast was phenomenal. Vicky McClure as 'Lol' also had me in tears - the scene with Lol and Combo was heartbreaking.

But I still can't understand all the hate Joe gets for starring in Misfits. These people need to watch him in 'TIE', I'm sure their opinion of him would change.

I really hope Shane Meadows uses Joe and Vicky (along with Paddy Considine!), as his favourite go-to actors now. You know, a bit like Tim Burton always having Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter! :D

I agree - he was amazing!

Part of me hopes that he casts Joe as Tommy Simpson in the biopic he plans to make. Mostly cos Joe looks so much like him and is about the same age.

I completely agree.

The sheer emotion and expession on his face, when Trev tells him that Lol's taken an over-dose, was such a gripping piece of acting.

He stepped up his level of acting in the 88 mini series from the previous two TIE outings. He brought alot of emotion to the screen with his acting.

Joe only gets hate because people are mad that Nathan is gone but Robert Sheehan decided to leave and people are too stubborn to realize that. Joe is amazing in Misfits and even better in This is England. I cried so hard during that scene, last time I cried that hard is when I watched Nowhere Boy. But really, I hope he goes far because he's truly amazing and phenomenal.

..you better lawyer up *beep* cause' I'm not coming back for 30%, I'm coming back for everything.
