From what I've seen, a fantastic actor.

yeah, Lockout wasn't the best. But his acting was fantastic, always is. I really recommend the This is England movie and mini-series. He's really really amazing in those. Especially the third episode of This is England '88. There's a big blow-out and his performance is extremely moving.

I enjoyed lockout... But what I wanted to say was joe Gilgun plays crazy real good, makes you wonder..

I agree with you wholeheartedly ! Currently I am watching LOCKOUT on SyFy and it is definitely not a great movie and, yes, the acting is none too great but Gilgun knows how to steal other people's thunder just like Steve McQueen did when he started out... He stays in his role whether or not he has any dialog in whatever scene he is in... In this movie he plays a very over-the-top murderous maniac. I love to watch him in the back ground of a scene. He continues to perform in character as oppose to stand in the background watching the other actors do their performance and dialog.... I bet you this guy will become a great movie star one day if he gets a good agent that can find him the best roles to display his versatility.
