Watching some of his films lately and I must say, he could star in some more Hollywood films so he can be known by everyone. I do love some of his smaller, independent films but if he went off and did a few Hollywood films, as the lead I might add, this could be good. And with all the money he would earn, he could fund some of the films he would love to do as well.

shareGael has his own production company with Diego Luna so they fund the films they want already. I would HATE for Gael to do anymore American films. The reason he's a good actor and esteemed is because he involves himself as an actor with good directors and scripts. Long may it stay that way.

He has turned down roles in a lot of Hollywood movies such as the role of Murphy's partner in Robocop, Jared Leto's part in Dallas buyers club, Sam reily's part in Maleficent, Édgar Ramirez's part in The Bourne Ultimatum, and Joel Edgerton's Role in Exodus.

I don't think he wants to be. He does what he wants to do. It's not every actor's dream to be in mainstream film and 'Hollywood' isn't for everyone.

shareHollywood is crap today. Gael doesn't want to make romcoms, Judd Apatow films, or dumb actioners made for Chinese audiences. There's no reason for him to work in Hollywood.
