Personally I think he stole the show from some really talented performers in Babel.

His best performance was probably The Motorcycle Diaries, although that's my least favorite of his films.

but it's a tough one.. gael usually steals the performance in all of his movies!

It's a toss up between La Mala and the Science of Sleep.
When it comes to just a scene, it's gotta be the last shot of him in Y Tu, the man speaks volumes with his eyes, beautiful.

I thought he was not bad in The Crime of Father Amaro.

To me, his best performance would be Elvis in The King. Brooding, troubled guy. Burns on the screen.
