Gravely ill, in hospice
Scary news. She is gravely ill and has been put in hospice at her home. This isn't looking good at all. They're saying she could go "at any time."
Hoping against hope that she can pull through.

We can only hope she will pull through.

You would never expect this A list diva, who is regarded as a living legend and an idol, to be HIV positive, but apparently a leaked memo from her agent eludes to the fact. It would be bigger than the Charlie Sheen revelation if it ever came out. Seriously. This A lister is on the Mount Rushmore of Divas. Aretha Franklin
I don't think you 'pull through' when you're in hospice care. A friend of mine entered hospice when she was done with battling cancer for two years. A month later she died. She announced this to everyone beforehand and what was going to happen. You don't go to hospice hoping to get better.
shareGenerally, that's correct. Hospice is about making the transition as painless as possible. Still, there are exceptions.
Instead of hoping she "pulls through", we should hope that whatever her fate may be, it will be the best thing for her no matter how it turns out.
