The breast claim seems to be about the photo. That is an a-hole thing to do, especially to keep the photo, but Franken's hands were hovering above her breasts which were protected by a flak jacket, yet the words used were grabbed and groped.

The kiss is also bad behavior, especially since Franken is married, but it was not a sexual assault.

Using this incident as a way to link Franken to sexual assault is like malicious prosecution, at least so far. Are there other women who are confused as to whether to report this or not? Was there more, because this is false equivalency and I do not think it meets the criterion for an actual sexual crime.

Typically harassment must continue after the victim has clearly said no. Was it harassment? I would say not from what I have heard, but the facts are fuzzy from the claim on the news so maybe there is more.

For example, if I had heard that someone had done what allegedly happened to Leann Tweeden, to my sister or a close female friend, I would think Franken was a jerk, but I would not automatically call the police or report it. So, the big effort here is Republicans trying to use what is happening in the media now with respect to sexual assault and Roy Moore, to create a false equivalency and pretend that Franken has done the same thing - which he did not.

It is the similar thing with Monica Lewinsky, where the affair came to light with Republicans and they used it in in unrelated court case to make it public and then impeach the President which failed, and Clinton even got re-elected. I think we have to trust the American people to parse this and decide if it is important to them. Now the Republicans have a majority in the House and Senate, so they may actually be able to create problems for Franken. Is that fake news, or fake outrage?

Franken didn't touch her breasts, just acted like a teenager.
