shareMisogyny, frosted in a layer of alleged humor, has been the basis of most male stand up comedy, as well as in many sitcoms, over the years and no one said a word. Women just sit by silently while their gender is maligned. Not to mention that if you want to really insult a man what do you say to him? You refer to him as a part of a woman's anatomy or call him a girl.
Whenever the shoe is on the other foot, ala "Thelma and Louise" and "The Color Purple" there's always an outcry "men haters!!!" So why is it okay to insult women most viciously but it's not funny when women do the same? Hypocritical I think.
Oh, do her jokes offend your tiny balls?
shareThe thing with Tina is that she satirizes everyone, men, women, white people, black people, straight people, gay people etc and when someone takes the joke too personally, she is accused of hating that specific group of people. She satirizes black people, she's racist, she satirizes women, she's a misogynist, she satirizes gay people, she's a homophobe and here, you have taken her satirization of men as an indication that she hates men.
Sigh, I do wish people would stop taking everything so seriously, it's all quite silly really.
(I wonder if you accuse men who make lots of jokes about women of hating women. Just a thought.)
