No Emmy nomination?!

But one for Emelia Clarke? I'm very disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, EC does a fine job as Daenerys, but I don't think the actor or the character was particularly memorable this past season.

Michelle has done solid work throughout her time on GoT and she was magnificent in her final scene. I was really hoping she'd be honored for it.

The nominating ballots went out on June 10, eight days after "The Rains of Castamere" aired, and completed ballots were due back June 28. There was ample time for the academy and the voters to the see the episode. "Rains" was nominated for writing and editing, so the episode must have been eligible, and people had to have seen it.

It's absolutely insane that she was not nominated! She had the best acting chop of the entire season in my humble opinion ....

Michelle really nailed it in the last scene of Rains of Castamere. I am happy for Emilia but I think the nomination ought to have gone to Michelle this season.

Having just finished Season 3, I was SO disappointed how little Fairley was present and featured. She honestly (besides two episodes) averaged about 45 seconds an episode. She gives her John Snow speech in one episode and then there was her final scene. She was amazing in it but I can understand why Emilia Clarke got nominated over her as she has that amazing scene middway the season and was more prominently featured.

I agree that Michelle is the better actress and deserved an Emmy nomination, but I have to give Emilia credit for learning two fictional languages for the show (Dothraki, and Valyrian). That may have been a big factor in her getting nominated. That and of course her popularity among fans.
