Cersei has kids that arent much younger and she looks at least 15 years younger than Catelyn...not surprising I guess because she is 11 years younger in real life, but Fairley is also older than littlefinger's character in real life and looks a lot older on the show. Should have gone for someone about 10 years younger.

shareCatelyn has five kids, though. It's not suprising that a woman her age would look older after birthing and raising five kids. Take into consideration that they live in completely different settings, and it makes even more sense.
You also have to consider that Michelle's performance as Catelyn is fvcking amazing.

Living in Winterfell is probably more consuming than Casterly Rock or King's Landing as a queen.

I actually just came here to see how old she is, thinking she looks old for her role.

shareTrue, Cersei and Catelyn both are mothers that have kids, but the Stark family definitely shifts older that generation. Look at how much older Robb Stark seemed compared to oldest son Joffrey. I think it would make sense that both Catelyn and Ned Stark would be at least five-ten years older than Cersei and Jaime Lannister.
