I don't think you understand the realities of being a working actress:

You get offered a regular role on a tv show (let alone the LEAD) you take the role.

You get offered the female lead in a Brad Pitt $100+ budgeted film, you take the role.

She's probably just now at the point that she can actually be *slightly* selective in films, but probably only when it comes to indies. It's not like offers to be female lead in a studio film are coming in every day for her.

Have to agree. I'm not sure what it was, but she was NOT believable as the wife of Brad Pitt (or anyone's mom/wife for that matter) in World War Z. It's one of the biggest things that stands out in the movie. I don't know if it was her or the director who wanted to show her as some completely non-emotional robot or what, but the lack of feelings she displayed throughout the entire movie was not realistic at all.

I mean how many wives could realistically "just stand there" unaffected, watching their husband (and father of their children) contemplate jumping off a building to his death...and remain completely calm and non-emotional?
