No, it is Meer-ray. It is French, and I speak French. :) It can sound like Mee-ray, but with an American accent. That could be the way she pronounces it herself though.

Ha. I totally thought it was "Meer-ee-elle" this whole time because I swapped the i and the e after the r.

Now I wonder if I've actually been heard calling her that. How embarrassing!
