Excellent on 'The Killing'

I finally started watching the show on Netflix, prior to the last series being released in August. I became hooked, and was very impressed by Mireille's performance as Det. Sarah Linden.

There were times when the character seemed very disconnected from everyone and everything, and times where she became so overly involved to the point of emotional overload. Mireille portrayed both ends of the scale extremely well -- the emotional detachment, where it seemed nothing could affect her (internal), and the moments of becoming dangerously invested and rocketing towards a breakdown (external).

Given the character's background with mental instability, I thought Mireille did a wonderful job in exploring that side of Sarah Linden and bringing it to light in both subtle and obvious ways.

I didn't always like Sarah, and I didn't always agree with her 100% of the time, but she always felt real. For me, that's the sign of a great actor.

I just started The Killing this week. And I agree. She is amazing!

One of the reasons i like the Killing so much is because it was more real in a lot of ways than many shows around

I usually hate this type of show because the characters are so flat and one-dimensional, and the plot is procedural. This show definitely set itself apart.

She is great in The Killing! I wish Netflix would have done another season, but I'm glad they closed the show up the way they did!

When I heard that they only had six episodes to wrap everything up, I admit that I was extremely concerned! They had so much to do, but they somehow managed to do it without making anything feel rushed.

They definitely did right by the show! I usually hate series finales, I loved this one and couldn't imagine ending it any other way :)
