Could Have Sworn I Saw Him...

I work in a department store. Yesterday, this guy came over and asked if he could check some things out with me since there was no one in the respective department (sign of the times; cutting everything down). So I smiled and said 'Sure' and took his stuff and checked him out. I handed him his bag and gave my trademark eye-contact-with-a-wide-smile "Have a nice day", and he did the eye-contact thing as well, wishing me the same. I saw him and my mental pistons started clicking but not catching. As soon as he took the bag, Ethan Embry popped into my head. I couldn't talk. I didn't even THINK to speak, telling him 'You know, you look like Ethan Embry.' I've done that before with people, saying they look like a celebrity, but I couldn't with him, because I'm almost convinced it WAS him! Ha.

Usually people are somewhat annoyed whenever they have to go to another department to check out when there's no one around. Understandably so, but it truly is the sign of the sucky economy. Been that way in our store since February. Pleasant guy, though. Didn't seem annoyed at all. Just a regular guy making a purchase and going about his day. No airs about him.

But what the frick would Ethan Embry be doing in Providence, RI?

That was him. He's filming Brotherhood season 3 there right now.

Seriously. I'm so envious of you. I've been dying to meet him for years! But yeah, they've been filming season 3 on location there since July. I think shooting just finished though, because Ethan was at the Eagle Eye premiere in L.A. yesterday.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I believe it was Ethan Embry that you saw. I was on a flight to LAX when the guy in the next row caught my eye. His name came right to me so I just asked him if his name was Ethan, he smiled leaned over shook my hand and said yes, nice to meet you whats you name. He was the nicest guy ever. Anyway he was talking about how he just was doing some work for a show or film in Providence. So I bet that was him. CRAZY!!

Holy crap. This is awesome. Sorry for the fangirlishness, but this is my first celebrity encounter. Just wish I had the brain cells and the courage to ask him since he seems really nice.

I saw him on the set of the Brotherhood in Providence yesterday..

Thanks. It was pretty awesome. Keeps your eyes open and maybe you will get the chance to meet him again. I know what you mean I had the hugest crush on him forever. It was awesome even though you didnt get the courage to say anything to him atleast you know you met him.

I know others here have backed up the claims that it could very well have been him becuase he's in Rhode Island I can say it's true as well. He was here last year filming and is back now too. I looks like this is the final week of filming from what I heard today. He's a very nice guy. I had the luck of getting a body double job last year from the show's promo photoshoot. So I spent the day with the cast and Ethan was hanging out the most while they set up. Very nice guy.
