George Is A Great Actor

Reading some of these topics on GE's board is sometimes quite dispairing, mostly about whether he's a hottie or whether or not he's gay, most posts tend to omit the fact that George is a great actor, i loved his performances in episodes when he has a more supporting role, but when he gets his own stories like in "Stalker", "Gum Drops", "Snakes" and "Grave Danger", he just goes for it, I think he's very talented. It's a shame that he doesn't do many movies, i'd love to see him work on the big screen. If you ever read these George, I think you're a top guy and look forward to seeing more of your work.

"Grave Danger" is what made me a George Eads fan. I agree that he is at his best when he has his own storyline on CSI. When he doesn't, though, the writers do both the character of Nick Stokes and the actor a disservice by having him be this self-righteous guy who just lectures suspects on proper conduct. The character's been a bit boring for me lately. Not GE's fault; they just haven't given him much to work with.

I'm not entirely sure GE can carry off a movie as the lead. I've seen him in everything I can, but there isn't much to choose from. He was cute in "Just a Walk in the Park," but that was really fluffy fare. I thought he was weak and disappointing in "Evel Knievel," and that was a role where he had opportunity to carry a film and show his acting chops. He was miscast in the role, but still, I thought his acting was sub-par in that film.

I don't think of him as a great actor. As Nick Stokes he is very good, except when he has to get real emotional example when he saw Warrick taking pills and confronted him, that was pretty bad acting I felt, no emotion what so ever. I can't imagine anyone else playing Nick. I'm not so much getting bored with the character, I am getting annoyed. And yes I agree it is the writers. The things that endeared him to me early on are now getting annoying. He is getting more screentime but sadly they are not doing much with it. The character to me seems to have lost something, I just can't put my finger on it.

I have to add Grave Danger was George at his best. I have a hard time watching it. I have panic attacks and when I see him in the box, he does such a good job at showing what panic is really like, I almost go into a panic attack. He was excellent in that.

I have only seen a couple of his other roles. Crowned and Dangerous was terrible, I thought he was pretty awful, but so was the whole movie. I did see The Spring and even though it was a horrible movie lots of horrible acting by all involved, I thought he was pretty good, given the story line, for me I thought he did the best out of all in this movie. I have only seen snippets of Evel Knievel and well lets just say I don't plan on watching it anytiome soon, he wasn't very good, I didn't think. I was even kind of dissapointed in his appearance on Two and a Half Men (he played himself), to me he seemed uncomfortable and stiff. I really liked him in ER, he did good for what little we got to see him.

I think he does better in shows like CSI and ER then he does in movies. I really don't think he could be a lead anymore, sadly even though he is not old, they are going for younger leads, but depending on the role and how it was written who knows.
