Let's Discuss George Eads!

Since this is the George Eads Discussion Board, it seems an appropriate place to discuss topics like the interviews the actor gives.

I have seen that on talk shows he says things that clearly refer to his sexual orientation, and in print he either says gay things like calling firemen "studs" or his dog a "big, sexy man" or declares himself single when his PR rep says he's not. Or he goes to the other extreme and says things like "I don't want to sleep with Gary [Dourdan]." My "gaydar" pings every time I see him in an interview or read one he has given. Anyone else notice how he seems to out himself during interviews?

Man, you are dense. I only tried to report you. Others beat me to it, or I wouldn't have gotten the message from admin. I attempted to report you because discussions about aliens, Elvis, and cats named Help don't belong on the GE board. Had your discussions really been about George, his behaviors, his interviews, I would have had no problem with your posts, even if they had contained an alternate opinion from my own.

Thanks for that, but, honestly, I don't think anyone on this board has an agenda of "destroying" George. I think they, like me, think all of the posturing of both him and his PR machine border on absurdity at times, and we talk about that. And because we can see so clearly the absurdity of it, we do try to present information (which is being deleted) to others who think we don't know what we're talking about. It's more about the absurd situation he has put himself in and traps himself up in sometimes that's the issue. I'm confident in saying that no one here wants anything but for George to be happy with who he is.

Yes, that's exactly it! If our society didn't have so many homophobes in it, and if folks weren't so judgmental about a lifestyle different than their own, men like George Eads wouldn't have to pretend to be something they are not, or have to get their PR machine to make sure to present a "truth" about them that is far from reality. Our nation has a long way to go toward accepting the differences in others, especially where sexual orientation is concerned.

If being gay was widely accepted, then calling someone gay would not be considered an "accusation," or "slander" or "trying to ruin someone's career." These are the words of homophobes, who equate the label with something vile, like molester or murderer. Ridiculous. I personally wish GE would just be who he is, and let the public see it. It has to be easier than trying to keep track of whether or not your PR people have told you that you have a girlfriend this month or not. Other actors have done it, and come out fine (Neil Patrick Harris, for one, who is hosting the Emmys today). Maybe some day.
