Have you seen "But I'm a Cheerleader!"? She's not the main star, but the movie was frickin hilarious, and I'm pretty sure it was a 90s film. Check it out if you haven't seen it.
I used to think she wasn't that pretty either, but she definitely grew on me too. I think she looks fabulous.

After seeing so many years with same short hair cut its refreshing to see her with long dark hair and better suited to her face. The whole 'I'm a lesbo so I'm gonna look like the sex I don't prefer' is very boring and ridiculous. Very strange when lesbians act, dress and talk like the very sex they try to not like even in bed there's the male dominant female of the couple.
