Split up with Fox?

Guys, not sure if anybody's started a thread on this yet, does not look like it. But it seems like ED has split up with Rick Fox sometime this year. Take a peek at this article from Boston Herald no less - http://www.bostonglobe.com/lifestyle/names/2014/06/21/eliza-dushku-separated-from-rick-fox-moves-back-home/A8eGeAv8myP2fq8NgeTWKI/story.html - which came out on Saturday early. Then nothing was mentioned of it over Sunday and yesterday. Now its all over the gossip and other tabloids like E, Perez, Jared etc over the last few minutes.

Further, she is leaving LA and moving back to Boston, the Boston Herald said everything more than two days earlier actually. She intends to stay in Boston and attend college somewhere there and get her basic degree. Her Mother and eldest brother can both help am sure.

Always loved her for her doe-eyes and innocence. She still looks incredible at our age and the very epitome of Mediterranean White beauty. Just missed out on the kind of movies or at least t.v projects that could have got her into the top league. Not a very good actress too at least in terms of 'scope' or 'versatility'. All the same would like it if she had a 'decent' career at least. She shouldn't give up on acting or even trying altogether. Hope she stays in Hollywood.

Please like you actually have a shot with Eliza.

I always knew knew her relationship with Rick Fox wasn't going to last given his prior history of infidelity and all. As far as Eliza giving up acting and moving back to Boston goes honestly? that really doesn't shock me at all. I think she's smart enough to know that her career's pretty much dead now anyway and at this point in her life wants something like a college degree to fall back on.

I am pretty sure that she has earned enough to be among the top 2% of Americans wealth-wise (and even better internationally). About 400-500 "billionaires" and a few thousands of "millionaires" will be above her in terms of net worth out of some 340 mil Americans. So its not like she needs a degree to fall back on. I felt it was a bit cruel to say that her career is dead. Sure she is not going to have a career like Julia Roberts/Sandra Bullock/Jennifer Aniston/Cameron Diaz/Reese Witherspoon etc or earn anything like them. But there is room for everybody .... almost .. that's what I would feel maybe hope. BTW She is shooting for a movie 'Eloise' now with guys like Chase Crawford. Can't we just wish that she gets something to at least keep her afloat?

Eliza Dushku isn't as rich as you might think, although I do believe that she has made enough money now to get by for a while.

According to the celebrity net worth site she's worth's $10 million.

She's not giving up on acting. Girl just wants to do something different for a few years, she's always mentioned wanting to go back to Boston to study. She has The Scribbler, Eloise and Jane Wants A Boyfriend to come out, so three movies to be released is fine if she wants to spend a couple years in college. Jeez.

Those are independent movies that she shot months ago.

By the time she gets out of college she'll be either 36, 37 or maybe even older depending on how many college courses Eliza wants to enrol in and by that point she would be considered "too old" by Hollywood standards for roles that are played by actresses who are about 10 years younger then her.

So what? If Sandra Bullock and Julia Louis-Dreyfus can have successful careers into their 50s, why should that matter?

reply

Because unlike Eliza they actually established themselves as major stars in there mid to late 20's while Eliza on the other hand never did. She's has always been looked upon by the critics as nothing more then a cult TV star which is something that she has never been able to shake off no matter how hard she tried.

Don't you think it's kind of unfair to Eliza to even compare her to actresses like Sandra Bullock and Julia Louis-Dreyfus? Eliza's a decent actress and all but she's clearly not in there league. Never has been and well lets face it never will be either.
