shareI read in an interview where the actress revealed that she had decided to americanize her last name so that it would be easier for others to pronounce it. That pronunciation of Dhavernas is "da-VERNA."
Why thank you.
shareSo how is it pronounced in French? I'm guessing the same, with the accent on the "Dha".
shareIt is indeed. With a slightly lesser stress on the third syllable. Cripes, I don't know how to describe it.

You can hear it pronounced "properly" here (I can understand why she Americanized the pronounciation for her English career.)
Mabye this is how it's pronounced in French?
Da-ver-neigh (French pronunciation?)
Dhavernas(spelling)
The S would be silent.
Oh, so it would sound like Daverna. The "neigh" thing was just a guess sorry i'm American. :P
shareMost people dont know but you ARE supposed to pronounce the 's' (I thought we didn't til my dad worked with her)
