Sure win for Best Actress Oscar in 2017

I've posted this on the "Fences" board and I thought I'd post here too to see what you guys think about it.

- The best actress contenders for next year don't seem very interesting. There's some word on Emily Blunt, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and Alicia Vikander, but Viola is the one who seems to have the most meaty character in her hands.
- Despite the many supporting wins, there's only one black actress that won an Oscar for a leading role ever (and it's Halle Berry, from all people).
- Viola won a Tony Award for the same role she's playing on the big screen now.
- She's been long delayed an Oscar win. She's up there with Annette Bening, Glenn Close and Amy Adams.
- Her TV work and "Suicide Squad" will surely help her pick some momentum.
- And of course, the constant racism/sexism allegations over the Academy. Instead of giving it to a black actor (with Denzel Washington, Will Smith, David Oyelowo and Nate Parker being sure contenders for next year), they'll probably give it to a black actress to make things more even.

I also heard about Jennifer Lawrence being nominated but her second Oscar will be in 5 years or so ! Alicia vikander won this year so another win is impossible ! Emma stone has more chances for Rosemary Kennedy ! If Jessica Chastain is nominated I think the competition would be between her and viola!

I really hope she wins an Oscar. I don't know what it is about her, but she captivates me. She is very attractive of course, but more so than any other actress, when she shows emotion on TV or in a film, I truly feel what her character is feeling.

Her acting, along with clever writing, are the only thing that makes HTGAWM worth watching. The rest of the actors on the show are over-acting, they try way too hard to get out from her shadow. She's spectacular.

I don't know, if playing the character of "stern woman" hasn't worked for her in pretty much every single thing she's ever been in, I'd be surprised if it worked in this.

Of course, I'm just assuming she'll be playing the role of a stern woman... again. I like her, and she plays that role well, I'd just like to see her do something different for once.
