Weirdly looks like an average white actress in this magazine...


Just saw her in the new AARP magazine (she just turned 50 on August 11th).

I must say, I did not recognize her at first. In the article, she looks like Jennifer Anniston, Sandra Bullock, or any of the other attractive, white, female actresses out there - except she is black. I mean, I literally did not recognize her. It is as if the make-up artists and magazines make every woman look exactly the same as one another...

It's kind of sad, actually. 😥

What an "astute" observation, on your part. I was markedly curious after reading your post. Upon, investigation, you are right on the money. She looks "white washed". A term African Americans use for just this exact situation. Viola Davis is an attractive woman without the pomp and circumstance... I am surprised that she would allow this "portrayal" of her. She has recently been on social media against this very thing.

It's like her ethnicity is completely gone except for her skin color. Again, very sad.
